Q: Can I create my own menu?
A: Yes, our food and beverage experts are happy to create a menu that reflects your wishes.  Our experienced team will work with you fulfill your requests.

Q: Can I taste all the food before the wedding?
A: Of course.  You and up to three guests may experience a tasting of your selected menu items, including your cake. The tasting will be scheduled several weeks prior to your wedding.  At that time, we can make any necessary adjustments.

Q: How long will my reception last?
A: Generally, a wedding reception is planned for five hours.  You can extend the time if desired.  Your wedding specialist will advise you of any additional costs for the additional time.

Q: Do you have suggested vendors for flowers, music, photography, etc?
A: Hyatt Regency Chicago’s onsite event services partner – EVED offers assistance with the coordination of ministers / officiates, floral arrangements, photographers, videographers, entertainment requests and every detail in between.  Our extensive experience and resources allow us to handle the arrangements for these services with ease.

Q: Can I host a morning-after brunch or a rehearsal dinner at Hyatt Regency Chicago?
A: Certainly.  We have several locations that are appropriate for these occasions. We proudly offer 10% discount on rehearsal dinner and / or post-wedding brunch plans if they are booked in conjunction with your wedding.

Q: Can my guests have a late check-out the morning after the wedding?
A: We will try and accommodate your guests’ requests, however, this will be dependant upon the overall occupancy of the hotel on the day in question. 

Q: Can I decorate the reception room?
A: Generally, yes.  There will be certain limitations in some rooms, which your Catering professional can review with you.  Allow us to give you ideas and suggestions that have successfully worked in the past.
